The Oceania Closed Junior Championships concluded yesterday with some excellent tennis having been played over the last couple of days. Rinky Hijikata [1] claimed the boy's title with a win over Tristan Schoolkate [6]. Amber Marshall [3] defeated Oceania's own Carol Lee [4] 6-1, 6-4 in the girls final. The doubles pairing of Cavrak/Hijikata [1] claimed the boy's doubles title, while Ivanov/Marshall [1] survived a stiff challenge from Schumacher/Smith [2] to win the girls doubles final. The mixed doubles title was claimed by the pairing of Schorr/Di Tommaso.
