On August 19th, representatives from Tennis Fiji participated in the International tennis Federation’s (ITF) Advantage All webinar for national tennis federations. The ITF’s Advantage All strategy aims to improve gender equality in all areas of tennis to ensure that women and girls are empowered, inspired and enabled to reach their full sporting potential. Wednesday evening’s webinar featured video presentations from Tennis Canada, Tennis Fiji and Tennis Ireland, alongside presentations from the ITF’s Advantage All team, ITF President, David Haggerty and former professional American tennis player, Katrina Adams.
Each federation discussed their national activities and initiatives that focus on increasing women and girl’s participation in tennis, across all levels of play, and proposed actions for the future. The presentations were followed by a Q & A session with panellists from the ITF, Tennis Fiji and Tennis Ireland. The webinar was attended by more than 70 representatives from national tennis federations across the world.
